The new and improved II (but pretty much the same ancient)
uw-photo Discussion Mailing List

uw-photo list - UW-PHOTO is a discussion mailing list for underwater photographers.

About uw-photo English (USA)

UW-PHOTO is a mailing list devoted to discussing all aspects of underwater photography. Topics in UW-PHOTO can include techniques, equipment, video, schools and even showing off.

HISTORY

UW-PHOTO is the oldest "forum" for discussion about underwater photography on the Internet, dating from about 1994.

List members include many of the elite of the diving photography world who are reading and ready to respond to novice's questions and problems or to discuss advanced topics.

This list historically does not tolerate abusive language or abuse of any of its members. Off subject topics are not well received.

www.uw-photo-list.org is a new domain name registered in 2006 for managing and helping subscribers keep track of uw-photo should it ever be forced to move.

GUIDELINES

There is no list moderator as this list has been self-moderating for many years.

All topics are introduced by list members. There are no owners or moderators charged to "keep it busy".

Members in good standing may post questions, answers, comments about underwater photography, their own equipment for sale, spaces available on dive trips, and other items of interest to the membership. The list will not tolerate members who subscribe only to advertise their items for sale.

All messages should include something of interest to the membership. "Is this list still active?" should be mailed to the list administrator. "Nice to hear from you." should be mailed to the individual that was heard, not to the entire list.

Please use an appropriate Subject for your post. For example, when posting a question about a housing problem use "Nikon D200 / Ikelite housing question" instead of "Hello" as the subject.

Commercial postings are not allowed.
